Building spiritual Movements everywhere
Student Survival Kits:
Kosovo:
“Our movement is the only one that does so much intentional evangelism” Niku said in our evaluation time. Niku is a first year student in the technical faculty in Prishtina, Kosovo. In October, Niku was involved in the distribution of our student magazine and in following up contacts from the magazine.
Through the magazines 500 students had the chance to hear the gospel, many of them more than once and some of them are still involved. One day Niku went with a staff to meet with some of his friends in the dorms. His friends had received a magazine and liked it very much. After talking about the magazine, they shared more with Leutrimi and Dritoni and both accepted said that they accepted Christ. Niku has now gone on in discipling them. (Told by CD, Altin Zefi)
Vlora:
Drini is a freshmen studying Technology Information at the University of Vlora. I met Drini as the result of our distribution of our student magazine “Student Life”. He filled out a survey for us and I then met him personally and shared with the 4 Spiritual Laws booklet with him. He had many questions about the Christian faith. After we met a few different time Drini invited Jesus into his life.
I then invited Drini to begin to meet with me to go meet with me to learn more about God and he was ready. We have met continually with me and we have gone through the follow-up materials and have talked about many different questions that he has had. He has become comfortable enough with that he has told me what he had previously thought about Christians – that they were cold and indifferent people who stayed alone reading books and weren’t interested in anything else. He has been regularly coming to our weekly meetings and has even wanted to volunteer to help organize these meetings.
Drini at one point even said to me, we should start a group with other guys like me who want to learn more about God. Now Drini has even started bringing different ones of his friends to come and meet with us so together we can talk to them about Jesus. (Told by staff member, Edi Bickaku in Vlora)
Shkoder:
I am thankful to Lord for the ways that has used our student magazine “Student Life”. Even the name of the magazine itself created curiosity and interest to see what is in it. For me it has been very helpful to have a magazine to give as a gift and has allowed me to take more initiative with students. Of particular help have been the special articles that serve as bridges to the gospel.
One example was when I gave the magazine to Rajmonda. She was very touched by an article were a brother helps his sister by giving his blood thinking that he himself was going to die. When she was sharing that with me, I told that in that case the younger brother he didn’t in fact have to die, but there is another story about One did die, Jesus Christ. Moved by the gospel message, that day she and her friends accepted Christ in their life. (Told by staff member Fiqe Godorole)
