Sending Projects

Ankara Stint

For the fourth year we have continued to have an Albanian STINT team in Ankara, Turkey. The challenges continue to be great - with visa issues, cultural and social issues and with spiritual barriers in the hearts and minds of the people. But, in the midst of this our team of four perserverant pioneers continue to open new ground for the gospel. In this strategic capital city with over 4 million people and over 200,000 college students we are the only ones that we know of sharing the gospel among university students. The team, to its surprise this year saw new open doors at one university that has been a bastion of communism and nationalism in recent years. They have developed new relationships and God has provided growing opportunity to share Christ.

Student Centers

This year we allotted funds to help several of our teams to be able to rent a "ministry center" for their campus. In some cases this might be an apartment central to the campus, or a free office-type space. These "centers" serve as a hub around which our teams can develop their work and a gathering place for many different functions. In Shkoder in a special way this place where students gather to pray every evening, where many Bibles studies and NLTC trainings are conducted and where committees meet and work. They are invaluable practical asset helping to facilitate the growth of these local campus movements.

Students Training and Sending Projects

This will be a 2 day time of training in evangelism and movement-building for 40 of our student leaders followed by 7 days in which they would participate in a sending project.

Training will happen March 21-22nd and then the team will leave on the 23rd for projects that will be March 23-30th. This year we will send four teams on missions projects to Muslim peoples outside Albania. One team will go to Turkey, one to Bosnia and two to Macedonia (cities of Skopje and Tetovo). Students going on these projects raise the majority of the own support and also gain a vision for how God might have the serve Him in taking the gospel to places where Christ is not yet known.
