Building spiritual Movements everywhere
Changed lives:

Marigona is an Economics-Banking sophomore. She comes from a Muslim tradition but God she never considered God as very important in her life. As a teenager she liked being in the spotlight and was forever looking to find true love.

When Marigona came to university, many things changed in her life. Her parents and brothers went to live in Italy and she felt very alone. Her roommate, a Christian, invited her to get to know other believers. What struck Marigona as she met other Christians was their love and care for each other. She was among people that were very different from the ones she had known up to then. So she started her journey to get to know God more and kept going to meetings where she could hear about Jesus. In a short time she was ready to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior and to invite Him to come into her life.  Immediately she started to change many things about her life, the way she used to think, the way she used to dress and the company she kept.

In just three months since Marigona started her faith walk she has shown a great desire to know and experience God's love through Bible study. She is involved in the weekly meeting committee and is very eager to serve and share the Gospel with other unbelieving girls she meets.   Now Marigona has found her spiritual family and never ceases thanking God for this gift He gave to her.

Aldo and Edi, University of Elbasan

Aldo and Edi are freshmen. Their names and phone numbers were among those who were part of the Students Orientation Seminars that our ministry conducted in the faculties on the first day of the year.   Via a text message we invited them to our meetings.  They soon showed up at one of our weekly meetings and liked the atmosphere so they kept coming. But even though staff member, Toni Kole, tried to meet them personally to share the gospel, it seemed impossible. This was frustrating for Toni, but he kept praying for them.

When we announced that we are going to have a conference, to our surprise, Aldo and Edi approached Toni with money in hand asking for a ticket. Toni, surprised, hesitated to give them tickets wondering why they would want to come to the conference when they were unwilling to meet with him personally. But seeing their insistence, Toni gave them tickets.  During the retreat the students enjoyed being around Christian students and it seemed like there was a group feeling developing among them as well. At our weekly meeting after the retreat, we asked the students who came to the retreat to share their impressions. Aldo and Edi came late, but brought with them 5 other students from their class. When Aldo shared, he said that up to the retreat he had been at a crossroads, but now he had found the way. Toni set an appointment with them and challenged them directly to invite Christ in their hearts as their Lord and Savior - and they did! A week later they told Toni, their faces bright, that they had now also told their families about their decisions.

Paola, University of Elbasan

Paolo is a freshmen studying bio-chemistry at the University of Elbasan. After the Student Orientation Seminar, we sent text messages inviting freshmen to come on our weekly meeting. Paola was one of the students who received the message and came. I met her at the door the moment she arrived and she began asking me questions about the meeting.  I explained who we are and shared more about what we were do in Elbasan. I asked her if she wanted to stay and check out the meeting and she answered very decisively "YES!"  At the end of the meeting I asked whether she liked the meeting and what she liked the most. She said that she felt very comfortable and I set an appointment to meet with her personally.

When we met we shared about our lives and we also talked about faith and God. She was very interested and I proceeded to share the gospel with her. At the end she said she wanted to invite Jesus in her life as a Lord and Savior. She prayed and was so happy. I asked her if she wanted to meet with me every week so we could talk more about God and she said "Sure."  Since then we've met every week and studied the Bible together. She also came to our fall conference in November.   She is hungry for God has a desire to share her faith now with her family and friends.  Just last week she came to meet me and asked "As a Christian, how should I react to the theory of evolution that we are taught at school?  What can I say to my professors and the other students in my class?"  We helped her get helpful information on the subject but also began to pray together for these people.  Please pray for Paola that she will continue to desire to know God and to share her faith freely with other students.  (Told by staff member, Ela Kole)
